Cooperation with universities and research institutes
Through relevant agreements, RWE actively supports the launch of new research and development initiatives in the area of offshore wind energy and participates in the exchange of expert experiences in project management and personnel training.
With our many years of experience in offshore wind energy sector development, we take part in educating future employees to support the constantly evolving renewable energy sector.
As we are present in the Polish market, we develop the academic community through:
- Partnership in competitions and events organized to promote sustainable development and offshore wind energy.
- Supporting the universities in contacting offshore wind energy market participants.
- Providing patronage and cooperating in the creation and operation of full-time and postgraduate studies focused on the training of personnel for the maritime industry.
- Offering ‘first job’ experience in the offshore wind energy industry through the “Working Students” program.
To date, RWE has established partnerships with three universities in the Pomeranian and West Pomeranian Voivodships of Poland: the University of Gdansk, the Gdynia Maritime University and the Maritime University of Szczecin.
In the area of environmental and geological surveying, we cooperate with the leading research institutes – the Institute of Oceanology of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute.
As it expands its portfolio of projects for renewable energy sources in Poland, RWE will actively support further development of scientific research and share its knowledge on innovative technologies.
