Rural Harvest Festival of the Municipality of Ustka, September 3, 2022

RWE employees traditionally talked about offshore wind energy. Thanks to VR goggles, those who visited our tent were able to experience the benefits of this technology. There were coloring books and contests with prizes for the youngest visitors.

Through its presence at local events, RWE has the opportunity to inform residents about the changes that will take place in the surroundings of the Municipality of Ustka due to the construction of the F.E.W. Baltic II Offshore Wind Farm.

Fish Harvest Festival, August 14–15, 2022, Ustka

In the RWE tent on the promenade in Ustka, we talked about wind energy on the Baltic Sea, presenting a mock-up of an offshore wind farm. We provided our guests with space with VR goggles, where everyone could see with their own eyes how electricity is made from wind. We were also honoured to welcome at our stall the host of this event, the Mayor Mr. Jacek Maniszewski.
The RWE initiative was well received not only by the local community, but also by tourists who visit the City of Ustka in large numbers during the summer. We will continue to implement the concept of education through presence at local events in the upcoming years.

Columbus Wind Festival July 23, 2022 Ustka

Residents and tourists visiting the RWE stall had the opportunity to obtain information on the implementation of the F.E.W. Baltic II Offshore Wind Farm project, the impact of offshore wind energy on the Polish power system and the changes that will take place in the city, in relation to the construction of an O&M base (maintenance base) in the port of Ustka, supporting the operation of our offshore wind farm. Throughout the day, children and youngsters had the opportunity to take part in contests as part of which numerous in-kind prizes were awarded. With the exception of the provision of ongoing information on the F.E.W. Baltic II project, the company's team conducted educational workshops on renewable energy sources using two wind farm models and VR (virtual reality) visualisation. Through the use of virtual reality, the workshop participants were able to see a visualisation of an offshore wind farm and take a virtual tour of a wind turbine structure.

Aiming for a responsible approach to the implementation of offshore projects, we plan to continually develop and educate the young generation as well as the overall community.
